The Feast of Pentecost…

…is the annual celebration of the descent of the Holy Spirit and the “birthday” of the Church.

The ‘What’
About 2000 years ago the Holy Spirit fell on the gathered group of disciples in the upper room in Jerusalem. The gift of the fire of the Spirit that Jesus had promised had come. The Church was born and spread throughout the world. Happy Birthday global Church!

But, it is also the Birthday of All Saints Honolulu! We planted on the feast of Pentecost three years ago. In that time God has been so good to us and we are so grateful for all that he has done among us. We’d love to have you join us for our service and for the celebration that will follow.

The ‘How’
Service starts at 4 PM on May 19th at the Olivet Baptist Church building at 1775 S. Beretania St.

Please (1) wear red or Aloha attire; (2) bring a lei for each member of your family for a lei exchange during the passing of the peace; (3) bring food / drinks / treats to share in the potluck feast after the service.
